In love with Gunma/群馬に首ったけ

演奏も終わってうちの男の子達はセッションをして遊んでいます。

遊ぶやんちゃボーイズを横目に、

私はお疲れさまのウィスキーをのみながら、

こうしてライブ後のブログを書いてます。

群馬は本当に人もあったかいしごはんも美味しいし、サンガムも良い店だし、

だいだいだいすきになりました。

ピアニストのお父様にチューまでされちゃったし。

もてたー。あはは。

NYを引き揚げてこれからオーストラリアに引っ越す大好きな友達と彼の古いお友達も沢山来てくれて本当に嬉しかった。

わたしって基本意地悪だし、ひねてるけどほんとに友達に恵まれてるなあ。

皆ありがとう！

こうして人のご縁で仕事も兼ねて新しい土地にいろいろ旅できて、これ以上のしあわせはないです。

いつも皆ありがとう。

さー、これから東京に帰るぞ〜。

The show is over but we are hanging around at the venue, just jamming.

I'm just watching the boys playing while drinking my long-waited whiskey and writing this. 

Maybe I said this already but let me tell ya I am just in love with Gunma now. 

People are soooo nice and the food is delish. 

On top of all, my pianist's dad gave me a kiss! Ha! What a day;)

We got to see our friend who is on his wa to relocate from ＮＹ to Australia too. 

I always say this but I'm just so fortunate to have so many people around me. 

And I get to see so many new interesting places thanks to the very people.

I love you all and thank you from the bottom of my heart. 

Well I guess we gonna hit the road back to Tokyo soon.

Right?

Aloha!Konbanwa, Good evening, peeps.
So I was underestimating the combination of humidity and heat during summer in JP....
SOOOO HOTTTTTT!!!
I think I might melt away and vanish into the air...
But before I become a semi-jellyfish floating the ocean, I will share something with ya!
These pics were taken on the last weekend, the first day Morito Beach opened for this summer.
They recreated the whole decor from scratch and expanded the space of the facility twice as large as the  last year...
I think you can find me very easily on the weekends this summer.
If am not rehearsing or gigging, you know where I will be;)

And meantime, I am really looking forward to the show in Takasaki once again this weekend.
I will spend the whole weekend in Gunma.

Last weekend by the beach, this weekend by the mountains.
Gotta love summer!

日本の真夏の湿度と暑さのコンビネーションがどんなもんかなめてたっす。

今年の森戸海岸の海水浴場オープン初日だったので、土日に泊まりがけで行ってきました。
愛しのLAHさんの写真たちでーす！！
今年はお店の材料をぜーんぶ刷新して、一からぜーんぶ作ってらした皆さん。
お店の広さも例年の２倍なんですよ〜！
リハもギグも無い週末の居場所決定ですね。

で、今週末は再び高崎。
楽しみだなあ。
前乗りで土曜から群馬。

先週は海辺。今週は山。
なんだかんだ夏が一番すきな私でっす！

A lunch show in Takasaki on July 15/７月１５日高崎でランチライブです！

おとといの写真。

朝家出る前に打ち合わせして、ドレスの色を合わせたわけではなくて愛のテレパシーだと思う！うふふ。

さて、二週間後にはこないだお邪魔した高崎へまた行きます。
今回はサンガムさんというお店。
ランチだよ〜。

二人のヨーコとの週末 Two Yokos in one weekend

So we had a great time at Slowtime Cafe in Takasaki.
It was such a cozy cute place.
Thank you so much for having us.
My butt hurt at the end of the day from sitting too long on train but I loved the day trip.
Don't tell my mother that I drank some whisky on the train on our way back to Tokyo.
It was such a great day.
What was interesting was that I picked up a book written by Yoko Ono at Slowtime before our set started.
Since the venue is also a cafe during the day, they have a nice collection of books and picture books to read.
So I was reading through Yoko's book without thinking too much.
But there was this one line that really move me.
I want you to read the book so I won't say it now.
The title was Things I want you to know Now. I am not sure it was originally written in English then translated to Japanese or she actually wrote in Japanese.
But I think reading the book before our set really worked a miracle on me.
I haven't felt so secure and loving and loved like that for a long time.
I didin't know Yoko was actually a witch. A good one, too.

And today I went to see my friend Yoko's Flamenco show.
She is a dancer, pianist, surfer, loving wife, and great friend.
This was first time for me to see her on stage as a Flamenco dancer.
It was simply gorgeous.
It is so nice to see wonderful dancers who just dare to show all they got.
They were sexy and alive.
Who said Japanese women are shy?

昨日の高崎のSlowtimeというカフェでライブでした。
とっても可愛くて居心地の良いお店でした。
お招きありがとうございました。
電車乗りすぎてお尻いたかったけど、小旅行を満喫しました。
帰りの東京行きの電車でウィスキーを飲んでいた事はうちの母には内緒でお願いします。
いい日だった。
印象深かったのは、お店にあったオノヨーコさんの本。
今貴方に知ってもらいたいこと、と言う本。
自分たちの出番の前時間があったので、何気なく読んでいたのですが、
本当に心を動かされた所があって。あと十分とかで歌うのにジーンとしてたの。
是非読んで欲しいのでどんな事が書いてあったかは内緒だけど。
なんだか、そしたら昨日のセット本当に落ち着いた気持でなんだか愛に満ちた気持でできました。あんないい状態ってなかなかない。ここ数年で一番いい気持だった。
自分に酔うでもなく、こびへつらうでもなく、本当に自分を開いて、お客さんを見つめるような気持。
ヨーコさんって本物の魔女だったのね。しかも善き魔女。

今日は今日とて、ともだちのようこちゃんのフラメンコのパフォーマンスを見てきた。
ピアノも弾けて踊りも踊れて、サーファーでもあり、可愛いお嫁さんでもあるようこちゃん。もちろん大事な友だちでもあるしね。
とーってもきれいだった。
自分をさらけだすことをを屁とも思わなそうな（というか、そんな風に見える見えないの境地はとっくに去った）素晴らしいダンサーたちが踊るさまは圧巻でした。
セクシーで、生きてるって感じが全身からしてたなあ。
日本人女性がシャイだなんて誰が言ったの？

よーし、良い一週間にしましょうね。皆さんも元気で。

Another show added on June 1st in Gunma-６／１群馬でギグ入りました

Hello.
I am aware I have not written this blog in English for a while.
I was reading the older posts and realized maybe my writing is getting worse and worse.
I should get back to my old habit of writing in both Japanese and English whenever I can.
So, those who might be reading my blog in the US or the rest of the world, I am still alive and thriving.
This pic is from my last gig in Kamakura last week.
One of my close friends took some really great pictures on film.
I especially love this one right here and hope you do too:)
I will put other ones on my website (or should I say I will have my friend do so) when I have a chance.

Another news.
I just got another last minute show in Takasaki, Gunma.
Hope any of you in the area can make it.
It would be an artsy and interesting event.
I am really looking forward to it:)

こないだの鎌倉のギグよりお気に入りの一枚。
演奏してるとき、メンバーだれもぶれてないのって結構珍しいかも。
時間があるとき、アルバムにしてウェブサイトにアップします。

さて、まったくおしらせしてませんが、今週末６／１の夜高崎のSlow Timeさんで演奏します。
告知も急だし都内からはちょっと遠いけど、
群馬の方のかた、もしいらしたら是非来てくださいね〜。
鎌倉に引き続き、朗読やったり、カバーやったりで、
またちょっと自由な感じになりそうです。
