new songs new voices

Aloha!
I am in the midst of finishing up 2 songs to present for the upcoming show.
I was gonna finish something else but those songs insisted me to finish them now. So here they are.
It is so funny the way songs start acting on their own after you work on them some time.
One of the songs is to be sung by Atsumi from Robin's Egg Blue.
Another one is for our duet.

I have been thrilled to find out how much freedom and a whole different dimension it gives me when I am writing a song to someone else.
I am utilizing a key for that I would not sing for myself for Atsumi's song. I think it will be just beautiful.
Did I just say that myself? Umm-hmm.
I just can't wait to share them with you.
The flyer and the invitation should be up soon!
So much to get done, but you know I am so so happy when I am in this phase.

こんばんアロハ（これおれんなかで今はやってる）
次のショーに向けて、二曲書き終わりそうな感じ。
もうちょっと違う曲を書こうと思ったら、思ってなかった曲が前に出て来て終わらせろ〜、と言うので。
なんか、歌を作ってこねてしばらくたつと、勝手に向こうから動きだすんだよ。それが毎度面白い。

一曲はゲストボーカルのあつみさんに歌ってもらう用に。
もう一つは我々のデュエット用。

あっちゃんのための曲は、自分では歌わない調で書いてるんだけど、それがまたいつもとまた違うところへ連れて行ってくれるから本当に楽しい。きれいな曲になると思う。ええ、自分で言いましたとも。

そんなわけでショーまで指折り数えてる私なのでした。
とりあえず近々フライヤー、メーリングリストの招待状ながせると思いますので、しばしお待ちくださいませ。ああ〜、やることいっぱいだけど、幸せばい。
