After Sandy

Hello there.

Just wanted to shout out my heart goes out to people who are recovering from the damage caused by Sandy in East Coast.

Hope things go back to normal as soon as possible.

東京だって空はある Sky over Tokyo

日曜のライブ、満員御礼でした。

本当に本当にこんなしあわせなことないです。

ありがとうの一言です。みんないつもありがとう。大好き。

楽屋さん、この場を借りてあらためてありがとうございます。

DVDに録っていただいたのでそのうちアップできると思います。

さて。

昔、東京には空がないと言ったのは高村智恵子さんでしたが、

全然あるよ。

正しい日本語では全然は否定の前にこないけど、２０１２年だからよしとしよう。

今の家は窓をあけるとお向かいの金木犀の香りが入ってきます。

東京の緑ってなんかこじんまりしてるし元気ないし物足りないってしばらくずっと思ってたけど、でもこの規模の小さい中にこういう風にぎゅっとつまった借景もいいなって。

もうじき葉が色づいて全部落ちると窓から東京タワーだって見えるはず。

目黒川沿いの今は緑の桜並木も、そこで憩う近所のおじちゃんおばちゃんも皆可愛い。

こうやってちょっとずつこの街も知っていけるといいな。

明日からまた頑張ろっと。

Last show on Sunday went really well.

The house was packed. 

I am simply grateful for all your continuous supports and love.

And a special thanks to Rakuya, the venue once again.

They videotaped the show for us so I will upload some clips once I get them.

Anyways.

It was Chieko Takamura, a poet, who said that we had little sky in Tokyo.

That is a damn lie.

You see? We do have a beautiful sky.

And I am lovin' it when I can smell the fragrance of Kinmokusei, orange-colored fragrant olive trees from my window.

I think I am finally digging the beauty of  these subtle hidden nature in Tokyo.

I like it here so far.

Hello there.
Tokyo is getting chilly. Can't wait to see the coloring leaves.


It is 3 am and I am listening to the recordings from the last rehearsal now.
I gotta say I am so thrilled for the show.
Performing with great fellow musicians is always like going on a trip.
This very particular group of musicians might play together again but might never again.
So I have to put my best into each show like it will be last one.

I just hope to see many of you on Sunday.

こんにちは。
東京も段々寒くなってきました。紅葉が早くみたいな。

時刻は午前３時ですが、前回のリハの音源を聞いています。
楽しみ！！
ほんとうに、私ひとりでなんにもできないのにこうやって皆が肉付けしてくれてやっと曲がやってきてくれるんだもん。頭があがりません。
いいミュージシャンの仲間と演奏できる機会ってなんか旅みたいだなっていつも思う。
またこのメンバーで演奏できるかもしれないし、もう二度とないのかも。
そうおもうと、全部のショーが最後の気持でベストをつくさなきゃなって。
バンドの皆さん、応援してくれる皆さん、本当に皆に感謝です。

日曜の本番色んな人に会えますように！

A Night in Yokohama

It is 6:57 in the morning in Tokyo.
Drizzling outside.
I was back in Kanagawa yesterday to check out Octoberfest by the seaport.
The site was packed with merry drunkards from bunch of different ethnicities.


The life over here still feels dreamy.
Maybe it is a good thing.

朝の六時五十七分。
外は小雨が降っています。

昨日は横浜のオクトーバーフェストへ行ってきました。
色んな民族の幸せな酔っぱらいでいっぱいでしたとさ。

なんだかここでの生活はまだ夢みたいです。
いいことかもしれませんね。
