Lull

Hi there,

I am in the phase of practicing, composing, and booking.
Hopefully I can throw a CD release party in NY in December so stay tuned.

Meantime, I will write about my day to day life in Brooklyn.
(I guess that is what I do anyway right?)

Last weekend, the only cozy coffee shop in my neighborhood just closed for good.
Rent hike for lease renewal. The same old sad story in NY.
On their last day in PLG, they had a party outside the coffeeshop.
Every one of  the customer has this loving expression with teary eyes.
One of the baristas had red eyes, crying.
It was sad but beautiful moment.
Although they had to go, they knew they were truly loved by the people in this neighborhood.
I clearly remember the day I came to see my apartment  for the first time on very very snowy day.
I stopped by at this coffee shop and thought "okay if I move here, at least I will get a cup of  decent coffee."
I am sure if those great people who ran this cafe will prosper no matter where they open the next business if they still have the energy. I really hope they do.

And on my end, I will look forward to see what is coming next.

Until next time,
Yuki

Good bye. Good luck!
