the Compound Brooklyn/ bk farmyards

On August 15th, I went to the Compound brooklyn's bk farmyard event.

I have been a secret fan of the Compound since I went there last summer.

This place has this marvelous sense of community, which I don't find in my neighborhood.

I have been planning to move in to Brooklyn for while. Being at the event made me realize that I was looking for something like that...

I guess it is time for me to leave the comfort zone and look for something new.

So basically they farm for you using available backyards.

I just think what these guys do is simply noble and something we will need in the next few years.

Knowing where your foods are coming from and who are planting them makes us appreciate our foods more. I can't wait to use is when I move to Brooklyn.

There was also table from Weeksville market, which is also a local farm from Brooklyn.

I bought watermelon and it was just yummy.

I think my consumption of watermelon this summer is number one in Queens...

8月１５日にブルックリンのコンパウンドで行われた

BKファームヤードのイベントに行ってきました。

去年の夏遊びにいって以来密かにファンでした。

なんていうか、あそこはうちの近所にはない本当に強いコミュニティのつながりの意識がある。最近ずっとブルックリンに引っ越したいと思ってるんだけど、イベントに行って

ああ、こういうのが欲しいんだな、私って思った。

そろそろ居心地のいいところを出て、新しいものを探さなくっちゃ！

bkファームって言うのは、使える民家の裏庭を使って

自分の野菜を代わりに育ててくれる人たち。

素晴らしいことだし、こういうビジネスって本当にどんどん必要になると思う。

自分の食べ物がどこから来るか、と誰が作ってるかって知るだけで

もっと大事にするようになると思うんだよね。

ブルックリン引っ越したら是非やりたいなあ。

他にもウィークスヴィルという地元の野菜市場も出店してて

すいかをまるまる買って帰りました。おいしかった〜。

わたし多分この夏のスイカ消費量クイーンズ１位だな。
